Hey...first 40 seconds of Rusted Nail was sweet.

This also started out good with the subtle hint of Maiden Melo Death they used to do...but yeah, Anders started singing and it got boring.

fuck these guys, can't write riffs for shit anymore and anders sucks so much, it's sad to see a band that once was capable of writing songs like december flower and jester script transfigured resort to such terrible output

even when jesper was still around, STYE was awful and so was ASOP

Honestly, it's not bad or at least it's not as bad as the last track. Shame that the screaming is practically gone, but the singing is alright I guess. It's rather lazy though if you ask me.

The song isn't that great, but I'll admit that his singing vocals have gotten a lot better. Compare this to the vocals on STYE, this is so much better. In fact, I'd say that the vocals are the best part of this track.

Yeah, they aren't really horrible, not even that bad. But it's just so lazy, and it's supposed to be fucking In Flames for crying out loud.

Don't worry guys, I will form an In Flames cover band to play only Pre-Clayman songs. We might end up
making tracks that sound like b-sides to "A Sense of Purpose" in a decade though. If we don't get sued

Awful...I actually like plenty of tracks off the last several albums but these 2 singles are really terrible. I will still end up buying the album because I'm a whore but it will probably be another one of those albums I play once or twice and shelve, never to be played again.

Just because they haven't been classic In Flames since 2000 doesn't mean they can't recapture it. I agree its unlikely - my point was simply that it always pisses me off how judgmental ppl are of new albums by the singles. Ppl end up being so biased against the album when it comes out that they don't actually take it for what it is. Linkin Park's new album is a prime example of a band that can sound entirely differently through the span of an album. Until its gone is nothing like War. Through Oblivion will likely be nothing like other tracks on Siren Charms.
