I would only see LP these days if they did Hybrid Theory in full. But I doubt that'll ever happen.

I hate that both these bands are still somehow relevant. The last time I listened/enjoyed either of them, I was 12 years old.

Eight years ago, all three would be headlining.

Now AFI has fallen by the wayside

The sad part is 30 Seconds to Mars are more popular than Linkin these days

All three bands have great material, but AFI is the only one with good material recently

LP will probably have a new album out by the time the tour starts as well.

I'm actually surprised AFI is a "special guest". Always thought they had a pretty large, dedicated fan base.

I'd go to see 30 seconds to mars and Linkin Park play their back catalog, but we know they won't.

LP plays a good amount of their old stuff

LP play Papercut, Crawling, One Step Closer, In The End, Faint, Somewhere I Belong, Lying From You, and Numb at EVERY show. They also play Breaking the Habit and Points of Authority at most shows. All of their old songs get a go every now and then except for Figure.09 which they never ever play for some reason.

Leto will play no songs from S/T, only the Kill from ABL, maybe 4 or 5 songs from TIW, and then the entire LLFD album cause he's the only one on the planet who thinks they're getting better with each release.

and AFI I could care less because I know they'll play Miss Murder, Medicate, 17 Crimes, I Hope You Suffer, Girls Not Grey, Silver and Cold and Love Like Winter.

I only dislike the first and last

They've been playing about equal amounts of TIW and LLFD

AFI had "17 Crimes" which flopped at #25.

Even Linkin Park were pretty disappointed - "Burn it Down" was only #1 for one week, while "Lost in the Echo" (#12) and "Castle of Glass" (#16) both missed the top ten.

So 30STM are really the big name right now

Okay..so in that preview there's a paper that says "the hunting party 6/14" and their tour is called Carnivores. The new single is supposed called "Guilty Is All The Same". I think Carnivores is going to be the album title.

Does the rock/alternative charts really mean anything anymore? As far as I can tell, none of the 30stm singles did that great when put in perspective.

Rock/alternative charts mean something on rock/alternative radio stations... where 30stm happen to be played almost as much as Imagine Dragons.

They've been successful on it though. Three #1s (From Yesterday, This Is War, Kings and Queens), seven top tens (The Kill, Closer to the Edge, Up in the Air and City of Angels) and also Attack (#22) and A Beautiful Lie (#37)

I'm just confused on what the definition of a big track or a successful single is. I mean yeah, I listen to alternative/rock radio and City of Angels was played all the time. But I feel like that audience has gotten more narrow than it used to be. I mean Up In The Air didn't even get on the hot 100.

That's not their audience though. As far as Hot 100, "The Kill" was #65 and that was like it.

That's a few pretty huge names. Regardless if you like the bands, the show should be great from a production standpoint.

You can pretty much look at youtube views to see the disparity in popularity between AFI and the other two.

I find that strange still tho. Ive never cared for any of 30 or lincoln's newer stuff but Ive always enjoyed some AFI
