New ASAP Rocky Instrumentals

2014-03-04 by SGGreenman | 30 Comments
Harlem rapper A$AP Rocky (under the name Lord Flvcko) has just realized two new tracks off his upcoming instrumental album Beauty And The Beast: Slowed Down Sessions Chapter 1.

One of the songs, entitled 'Riot Rave', comes with a music video, and also gets a
feature from Baauer. A$AP Rocky calls the music video an "art video".

Both tracks can be played here: http://www.vibe.com/article/asap-rocky-riot-rave-video-feat-baauer-unicorns-0

LongliveA$ap was maybe the best rap album last year and super underrated by this site but i have no interest at all in a couple of instrumentals

Yeah these both are pretty lame. The music video tries too hard to the point where it is funny.

LongLiveA$ap was solid, but these instrumentals are boring, and the video is stupid. A bunch of kids running around a city and throwing trash around constitutes a riot?

Both SGP and Rocky are great, but I really wish Purrp would get back on that Blvcklvnd Rvdix/God of Black type shit. As much as I enjoy the new tape, some of the songs do start to sound samey.

yeah purrp is great at what he does, the point of his music is definitely that dark stomach-churning lean-sick vibe. lyrics are hardly the point, it's supposed to elicit a visceral reaction i think.

yeah SGP's flow continues to grow with each release

"the A$AP Mob and [SpaceGhost clique] the Raider Klan represent two different lifestyles. In the Raider Klan, we're just little fucking delinquent assholes, a bunch of dark-ass skaters who are underrated."

I think some people might be viewing these instrumentals in the wrong way. I have been listening to a lot of instrumental hip hop, trip hop idm, electronic, and dance music and I think that maybe A$AP Rocky might be shooting for something more than hip hop with these instrumentals. Unicorn was beautiful.
