It's a fun song, but pretty generic for these guys imo.

I think I'm over this band now. Self-titled was their best.

one of the most straightforward songs theyve made. dig it, but if this is what the whole album is like, i'll be
disappointed...

so can AAL do a joint tour with Andy McKee and have it be called

The Joy and Art of Motion Tour?

Took a while to get used to it. The rhythmic parts were a bit eh, but the leads were kind of cool
along with some of the riffs. Hopefully the band doesn't go in this direction though and this is the
"worst" track, I like the usual AAL way more than this and this will kind of be a waste of Matt
Garstka's talent if they decide to go in this direction. Hopefully...

Diging this more than anything on Weightless. And as long as whole album isn't like this, it's cool.
It's really apparent that Misha co-wrote this and I heard that Diego from Volumes co-wrote some songs too, so I guess it will have some more djunz than the older material.

Tosin's biggest mistake was deciding to collab with two people who are less talented than him who preform in far inferior bands to his own. What are you thinking, Tosin?! I mean, Periphery is can be pretty good, but Volumes is like the most generic djent-core nonsene breakdown band...ugh

Progger6009

Good point, but just because they are less talented guitar players doesn't mean they can't write great riffs or rhythms. I think the 2 songs I heard so far are more accessible, catchy feel to them. I think it's a fun listen.

He's collabbed with Misha before, dude. Misha programmed all the drums for the S/T that everyone can't stop comparing all of his recent work to. Tosin is obviously enjoying making music with these people, if you don't dig it, write something better or listen to something esle. If you feel so entitled that he owes you a masterpiece, maybe you should eh, well, nevermind.

this is lowest common denominator "djent." why listen to this generic shit when artists like Cloudkicker and Sithu Aye have material that's so much better?

Hey, cylindrical sea is actually a pretty excellent song...but yeah i think obviously their self
titled was the most creative...i think their new music is pretty cool, but doesn't really do it for me
as instrumental alone... i think if weightless had some kind of vocalist, it would actually be pretty
badass

I think this song is really, really generic and not as enjoyable to listen to. Also, I'm feeling like Tosin Abasi doesn't have that creative edge as he's used to. The song has no personality, no emotion. Very bland djent and quite frankly, it is getting annoying. He needs to return to form and stop this charade of appealing to the masses and write stuff that is going to challenge his fans and listeners. AAL's first album was just brilliant song writing, and even without lyrics, told a story. This is just garbage.
