Great news indeed.

| |
Awesome.

| |
Already finished? Fuck yes! None of that waiting around!
| |
This is great news!
| |
Will probably be shit
| |
Artists calling their work 'fucking great' is a bad sign.
| |
Great news, but I don't quite understand why he signed with a record company after being so outspoken on independence. Did I miss something?
| |
My body is ready.
| |
Him "taking Nine Inch Nails to a new place" makes me curious as to what that means, a changeup in the sound perhaps?
| |
Yeah, "fucking great" doesn't sound so good, hope he's right.
| |
Artists calling their work 'fucking great' is a bad sign. [2]
mhm
| |

| |

| |
"Artists calling their work 'fucking great' is a bad sign."
I would agree but we're talking about Reznor here...
| |
I'll trust him on the "fucking great" statement...
| |
It's about goddamn time
| |
Great news. I hope that this record will be great

Surprised it's going to be released through Columbia instead of self-releasing it like he did with The Slip.
| |
You're all just cynical because of Complete Freedom.
| |
Excellent news!
| |
Jesus christ i cant even wait
| |
Why no self release?
| |
Have faith in Mr. Reznor.
| |
This is awesome news
| |
This should be good ... hopefully I'll see NIN this year!
| |
Made my day! Hopefully it's amazing.
| |

Always
| |
an interesting situation to be sure
| |
it's Trent Reznor? i think we can trust his opinion. if he's psyched about something it's bound to be good.
| |
holy shit, yes
| |
could've sworn he mentioned this last year or something, fucking psyched anyway.
| |
Just thought that myself.
| |
Now im psyched...
| |
"Artists calling their work 'fucking great' is a bad sign." [34,793]
Because Reznor has released so much shit music in the past. Also he's hardly going to come out and say "I've resurrected NIN and I've been secretly working for the last year on an album and honestly it is just horrid, I hope you are all excited and buy 11 copies each."
Cynical bastards
| |
This guy is a fucking machine.
| |
I came so hard.
| |
I'm happy about the news, I just kinda hope it doesn't sound like HTDA
| |
The Slip was a good record. Don't understand the hate. I'm excited for this new release, as long as it's longer than The Slip then I'm happy. And not as bad as some of the stuff on The Fragile.
| |
I guess he kept it a secret to keep fan expectations off his mind.
| |
Yes!
| |
GREAT!!!
| |
"Artists calling their work 'fucking great' is a bad sign."
I would agree but we're talking about Reznor here...[2]
We're talking about Reznor, not Lately.
| |
Uhm, I am pretty happy that Reznor is releasing another record, but seriously guys... don't judge a record you haven't heard a single second of just because the artist says that he likes it...?
| |
PREPARE THE SEXUAL LOTIONS
| |
NIN's been on a downward spiral for a bit. All this soundtrack work might have given Reznor the confidence he constantly talks about lacking in interviews, but if The Slip, Ghosts and the somewhat mellow HTDA is anything to go by, this is probably going to be another emotion-lacking Year Zero type record with some extra atmospheric attention. To me the Slip and Ghosts were not the NIN we once knew. That's why they were given out for free. Don't want another one of them.
When Reznor says 'fucking great', something tells me he is driven to say it because of his employee relations and ability to combine efforts with Atticus and the others - rather than with an objective view of his musical product.
Oh, surprised no Sputnik asshole has come in with "STOKED".
| |
OMG you can download it here, you guys! http://www.nin.com/pub/strobelight/
