Hey man... Too late

At least it doesn't sound like an obvious Take A Picture rip-off.

Wow, this track was really enjoyable. Simple, but great.

5th studio effort
6th

Hope the album is as good as their last! I Have a lot of great memories jamming The Trouble with Angels while exploring Fallout: New Vegas.
|
| |
Sorry Wizard, my bad.
Yeah, their previous record was one of their best. I hope this will be as good as TTWA.
|
| |
No worries, you never have to apologize for an honest mistake.
Looking forward to this album.
|
| |
nice shot, but my favorite will always be "title of record".
|
| |
Great track, although i think i like "What do You Say" alittle better.
|

Haven't listened to a Filter album through and through since the amalgamut. This song has certainly peeked my interested though. Anyone know of other links to other songs from this release?
|
| |

Good feels. I like it.

Good song.

sounds great, didn't expect that sound.

I love how the tone in makemebad35's comments on SputnikMusic completely contradicts the tone of voice in his videos on YouTube. xD
|
| |
Definitely looking forward to this record. I think TTWA is still growing on me, though. Title of Record will always be my jam
|

awful fucking band
|
| |
This song is fucking awesome
|

Not only was I surprised that Artist Direct still existed, but that Filter did too. Learned two things in one click, neat.
|
| |
"we hate it..." is actually not that bad.
|
| |
Thanks, I've been practising :3
|
| |
It was alright neither impressed nor disappointed

Listened to this a couple times and it just seems more like that obligatory soft rock anthem they just HAVE to put on each album, nothing truly memorable. TTWA is one of my favorite rock albums though so this has a lot to live up to.

Dude yes holy shit

Lead singer for filter is the brother of the guy who played T-1000 in Terminator 2.

This album is turning out to not be worth the wait. Unfortunate...hopefully the yet-to-be-released songs are better than those they've shown so far

This song is weird... I want to like it, but something just seems so off about it. In fact, the same could be said for pretty much all of the songs we have heard from this new album. It just doesn't feel like honest art to me. The first two songs are hard-hitting rockers that seem to be trying desperately to fit into modern rock radio. The production is hollow sounding and the lyrics portray pointless, vague anger that I just cant get behind... of course, Filter has never had good lyrics, but at least there was something to their delivery that made me want to get behind them, or at least make me believe that Richard stood behind them. This just seems like him trying desperately to feel relevant again. "We Hate it" has a pretty sweet bridge, but that's all that has really stood out to me from all three of these. This newest one is so accessible it's ridiculous. It has no balls and is completely inoffensive. It's a shittier version of Take a Picture for 2013. Instead of trying to build off of old successes, it seems like Richard is trying to relive them while repackaging them for today's audience. This is really saddening to me, as The Trouble With Angels was a genuinely good record. It had a lot of the industrial chaos of Short Bus and the melodic elements of Title of Record, but it didn't feel like it was arrived at erroneously. This though... this album is shaping up to be one of the biggest disappointments of the year for me.
