Count Your Lucky Stars giveaway 2013-05-12 by dimsim3478 | 10 Comments | Emo/indie record label Count Your Lucky Stars, run by the husband and wife duo who also form the band Empire! Empire! (I was a lonely estate), are putting up their entire catalog of releases for free download via Bandcamp on Monday in celebration of their 50th release.
Since 2008's release of Empire! Empire!'s EP Year of the Rabbit, the label has put out records by some of the most prominent bands in the independent punk, emo and twinkle scenes, notably Joie De Vivre, Into It. Over It., Football, etc. and Dowsing. The official re-release/remaster of the Empire! Empire!'s first EP When the Sea Became a Giant marks release number fifty, and the label offered five new record streams, a webstore sale, a rare vinyl auction, a free shirt giveaway, and a chance for fans to download their entire catalog and "all 5 of the [newly streaming] records on pre-order" free of charge by reaching 750 shares of a Facebook status. With the quota reached only a few days after the announcement, all 50+ releases will be available for one week starting Monday.
