Ty, the 'Tones are my favourite band. Have been since I was 13 (27 now). I'm a huge fan. But they are out of steam in my opinion. They've had a hell of a run but I think it's time to end the legacy. Just my humble opinion.

Yes. As stated above, that's my opinion. KNY was a huge let down and it's better (again IMO) for a band to quit while they are ahead instead of sticking around releasing mediocre albums. The Deftones have been around what, 25 years? They have a huge legacy and to keep forcing it doesn't make sense.

True man, you could very well be right. Let's see what comes next. It's a gut feeling I get...they aren't getting any younger and the band without Chi while functioning well, it's a different dynamic. Vega isn't half the bassist Chi was. He's alright but it just adds a different dimension and it's one I don't really like. I know there are people who feel the same way I do but at the same time the Deftones have never been more popular. I went to buy tickets to the show here in Toronto Canada and it sold out in less than 10 minutes. I was pretty shocked as I have always been able to get tickets to see them a few weeks after they went on sale.

Yeah that album sucked, and that's coming from a big deftones fan i like everything they've ever put out even the Team Sleep stuff, but this latest record pretty much blows.

IDk KNY is brilliant. There are less heavy moments than DE but I feel there is just as much atmosphere
if not more.

Perhaps they didn't want too many shots of the band so soon after the Chi Cheng thing.
