roads to judah was frustrating as shit for me, its like it wanted to go in a good direction but always kept holding back and falling on cliches

hopefully theyll pull a lantlos on this and stop trying to sound like a black metal/shoegaze band and sound like themselves

Artwork is boring as fuck.

Last album had great art, what's this bullshit.

It's probably gonna be awesome and I'll dig it, but that artwork is heinous. Hopefully there is still a little bit of black metal to be found on this album.

black and white images of random "grim" looking stuff gets really boring after a while.
this art might be kind of boring if it were used for an indie pop album, but the fact that it's on the cover of a black metal album makes it stand out.

Hmmm, says June 11th on their facebook...

Anyways, should be awesome, Dream House is a hell of a song. I've been listening to Roads to Judah on repeat for the past couple of months. It's outstanding, so there is no reason to expect anything less from Sunbather.

Also, to the people complaining about the artwork, I'm sure they didn't design it to wow all their fans. Wait for the album, I'm sure the music will speak for itself.

are we still sure this is a black metal album though? who's to say this isn't just straight shoegaze? either way, i agree that the "grim" images can get boring but that just means they should be more creative, not just apply some generic indie album cover.

way too long to wait. hope a single comes out, even if it's heavily edited like Violet was.

I'm not worried there won't be black metal elements. I mean shit, they have some songs longer than 10 minutes here.

are we still sure this is a black metal album though?

There's a live vid on youtube of them playing Dream House live, which sounded (from what I could tell)
pretty Judah-esque. These songs might just be longer/more complex, but the black metal/post-rock
style is still probably going to be the driving sound of the record. Maybe more post-rock this time,
but they're not going to sound like Whirr.

Thought the last album was boring as shit. At least if they continue down the same roads to mediocrity the artwork will suit this just fine.
