Critically acclaimed guitar wizard Joe Satriani has revealed details relevant to the release of a new full length album on May 5 via Epic Records.

The album's titled Unstoppable Momentum and its track list is as follows:

1. Unstoppable Momentum
2. Can't Go Back
3. Lies and Truths
4. Three Sheets to the Wind
5. I'll Put a Stone on Your Cairn
6. A Door into Summer
7. Shine On American Dreamer
8. Jumpin' In
9. Jumpin' Out
10. The Weight of the World
11. A Celebration

The album was recorded at the Skywalker Sound studios with Satriani co-producing with Mike Fraser (AC/DC) and the aid of musicians such as Vinnie Colauita (drums - Sting, Jeff Beck), Chris Chaney (bass - Janes Addiction) and Mike Keneally (keyboards - Dethklok).

Those who will pre-order the album via www.satriani.com will also receive a previously unpublished hard copy edition containing all the sketches and drawings Satriani made throughout his entire career. Satriani commented about the hard copy edition as follows:

Some of these sketches have been used for decorating my guitars, CD booklets, t-shirts and live stages. With this book, my incentive is to entertain and inspire my fans with a complete guide of my drawing work.

Ha, nice.

His backup band is pretty eclectic. Hopefully it makes the songs more interesting this time.

Old people recapturing their former glory is kind of a theme right now. (hello Rush, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, Bad Religion, Swans) So maybe this will be good. Flying in a Blue Dream is a really pleasent album.
