love this band
wish they would stop re-recording their old material though. It's not that they're bad, but they were
fine as they were.

Personally, I love hearing the new versions of old songs, it's always neat to hear reinterpretations of em. Pretty much all of these sound awesome.

Hope its a remake in the vein of Converge's latest. Those rerecordings were amazing.

I really liked some of the remakes, some of the songs needed a remake (like Zan) but I don't see how
they could even try to remake the final...what would they change?

What songs have you heard? Uroboros is probably their best album...listen to Dozing Green or The
Final

'A core, unrelented by time'?

I'm guessing it's in reference to the fact that they've never had a lineup change

In japan, bands tend to release songs as singles before an album comes out and promotes them, then
they release the album...and their singles all have songs you can't get anywhere else, so all of their
singles are listed as EPs

I rather like Vulgar and Withering to Death, but they aren't as instantly awesome as Uroboros.

Yeah, a mini-album with ONE new song and FIVE new re-recordings, great...
Although looking forward to what they've done with "Bottom Of The Death Valley" and "Kasumi"

^^ their songs arent really re-recordings, they basically take like 1 riff from the past song and make a new song out of it

the bad thing about their rerecordings is that so far there is nothing special about them, they are all straight up Deathcore-ish songs except the one song they turned into doom metal.

So this is just a re-release of some of their old songs they've done in the past? A little disappointing if I'm honest. But I do still like their re-releases of old songs turned heavy. haha

I found with a couple of them, the transitions, from verse to chorus for example, don't work very well. Obscure is a prime example. Still, I do really enjoy them.

Japanese discoveries and cd japan do them pre-orders. Be warned though, the cost is ridiculous...

God damnit, all this hype for a proper mini album and it turns out to be a glorified single with covers?

They need to leave KISOU alone. This shit ain't funny.

I got the Rinaku made-to-order, ended up costing me around £70 overall after customs got their filthy mits on it.... never again. I won't be paying that for a mini album that only offers old songs getting a spit polish. lol

One can only hope they won't stay long in the Deathcore lounge with their next PROPER album. They never released the same LP twice (well... almost).

I would hardly call the original pressing of UROBOROS a coherent musical product.

Marketing was amazingly deceptive, however. Too bad the original pressing wasn't the REMASTERED, or it easily could've
been a legitimately good album.

Sounds as if its going to be another brooding release, awesome.
