Surprise new LP from Four Tet

"I am going to release a new Four Tet LP today"

This was taken from Four Tet's Facebook page this morning, following a (at the time) cryptic tweet consisting solely of "0181". While allowing a few hours for his more than slightly devout followers to work themselves into a veritable mess of excitement, Mr. Hebden then reaffirmed the new LP with the news that 0181, cataloged through his Text imprint as TEXT021 was now officially up for grabs.

0181, which serves as the follow-up to last years quasi-compilation Pink, collects together an assortment of early Hebden material, predating his breakthrough LP Pause; pulled out of the vaults and dusted off, the material is reported to have been recorded between 1997 and 2001. In Hebden's own words: "are you ready?"

Four Tet has uploaded the whole album for streaming/download via his official Soundcloud account, and has promised that a vinyl release is on the cards and should be out later this year.

the file is just one 87 mb song, is it possible to download a version that's sectioned into tracks or do I have to do that myself?

Yeah, or wait for the physical release (unless he's actually going to do it that way)

You'll have to do it yourself, I guess. Nothing Audacity can't handle though.

I would really like this divided into individual tracks. What would be the best way to handle this?

"People keep asking for a tracklist... it's just one track... it's just 0181."

also Four Tet said that.

^ was about to say.

Been playing this all day - much better than the release last year imo but that's probably best explained by the dates.
