Completely agree. This band has never made anything special, but their albums have always been consistantly solid.

I have to say, I think their first album is almost a modern classic, the second is good, especially if you liked the first one. "Threes" is admittedly atrocious.I've always liked these guys more than the Mars Volta (though I still like the Mars Volta). Sparta always reminded me of most of my favorite parts of At the Drive-In songs.

It's almost mind boggling how fucking awful this band is. At the Drive In was great, so why wouldn't three of it's members logically make great music? Nope, they pump out straight shit for three albums..

But I just listened to that new song they released and it's actually pretty good, so maybe they will decide to be a good band now!
