The new album, titled 'The Invisible Way' is being produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy
It features a brand new song and a guest appearance by Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard.
ugh
|
| |
C'mon [2]
|
| |
haha I was waiting for someone to mention the affiliations. I'm not crazy about them either, though I have no idea what Tweedy is like as a producer.
|
| |
haven't really got round to listening to their more recent stuff but i could live in hope and things we lost in the fire are two of my favourite albums
|
| |
sweet
|
| |
Fuck yes.
|
| |
cool
|
| |
Was hoping this was heavyheavylowlow
|
| |
Ew, Ben Gibbard... Oh well, should be cool anyway.
|

|

I really oughta get myself some Low.
|

And let Aids jizz fest begin
|
| |
Looking forward to it.
|
| |
the album or the jizz fest?
|
| |
The former.
|
| |
The latter
|
| |
lol
a lot of guys are mentioning Gibbard like "oh damn that sucks but I'll still like the album"
did you actually read the article? they just released a free live EP (which you should all get instead of just saying "sweet") and Ben Gibbard is on ONE of those songs. The album will be nothin but Low (with Jeff Tweedy at the knobs in more ways than one amirite?!?!?!!?).
"haven't really got round to listening to their more recent stuff but i could live in hope and things we lost in the fire are two of my favourite albums"
definitely check out 2011's "C'Mon" (cmon dude). It was my first Low album and it's what got me into them. I'd now call them one of my favourite bands, and while I Could Live in Hope and Things We Lost in the Fire are "better", I have a huge soft spot for that album. It has some of their best songs, and it's a real grower.
the trailer for the new album sounds pretty fucking good, I'm pumped for March 2013. new Low and Laura Stevenson albums hell yeahhhhh!!
|
| |
damn we've got a fanboy on our hands.
|
| |
I'm not so sure about that, I still haven't heard a few of their albums. I'm just trying to have a discussion but I don't think sputnik is about that really anymore.
|
| |
c'mon was kinda disappointing, hoping this will be reminiscent of their older material
|
| |
yea he is talented at making shitty music agreed
|
| |
andcas you say the same shit about people like justin bieber so shut the fuck up
|
| |
"c'mon was kinda disappointing, hoping this will be reminiscent of their older material "
C'Mon grew on me quite a bit. It's one of my favourites now. Have you watched the trailer? You get like a 20 second clip from the album and it sounds pretty damn awesome.
|
| |
cmon was okay. band is past their prime tho so i wouldnt get my hopes up
|
| |
hella pumped for trax about archaeology
|
| |
looks like it leaked
|
| |
better rate it dude
|
| |
no
|
| |
but
ratings? ??????
|
| |
it leaked already? that's pretty early. damn.
riff, I admittedly have a soft spot for C'Mon because it was my first Low album, but it's stayed one of my favourites of theirs over time. I don't know, I think the new album could be a continuation in the same direction and potentially really really good.
|
| |
pretty disappointing, but ok
|
| |
haha, good counter-argument. what's your favourite Low album?
|
| |
its no
1) Incubus 4972 plays
2) Minus the Bear 2080 plays
3) Radiohead 1285 plays
4) La Dispute 1169 plays
5) Deftones 842 plays
6) Modest Mouse 810 plays
7) Korn 794 plays
8) Slipknot 787 plays
9) Chevelle 728 plays
10) Nine Inch Nails 688 plays
|
| |
agreed
|
| |
also I Could Live in Hope is their best, imo
|
| |
definitely
|
| |
(very tentative ranking, as I just finished their discog last night):
I Could Live in Hope
Things We Lost in the Fire
Trust
The Great Destroyer = C'Mon (can't separate here)
The Curtain Hits the Cast (but "...Waltz?" is maybe my favourite song of theirs)
Long Division
Secret Name
Drums and Guns (the only one I didn't enjoy that much)
|
| |
lol aids trust sucks
1st off best band ever, usually
2nd its
things we lost in the fire
curtain hits the cast
i could live in hope
drums and guns (best low song on here)
secret name
c'mon
long division
the great destroyer
trust
|
| |
sweet
I like Trust a lot, thanks for playing though
on a serious note though, why is Drums and Guns so highly rated? I guess I'll give it some more spins, but my first impressions were not positive at all. not bad, just not the quality I'm used to from them.
and The Great Destroyer isn't that amazing but "Death of a Salesmen" is such a good fucking song so it gets bumped up like 2 spots.
|
| |
Anyone heard the clip they posted of "Plastic Cup"?

I like it a lot. The album leaked already and I have it downloaded, but I'm not going to listen to it for a while. Or, I'm going to try not to.
