2012-12-09 by KerfuffleinaHussle | 32 Comments
Following the release of their 'This Fire' EP earlier this year, Birds of Tokyo have unveiled the name, artwork and tracklisting for their next full-length studio album, entitled 'March Fires.' The album is stated as being a fresh start for the band; the album's title "directly reflects it's phoenix-like conception."

'March Fires' will be released on 1st March 2013, available as a digital download, CD, and vinyl. The tracklist is as follows:

1: Liquid Arms

2: This Fire

3: When The Night Falls Quiet

4: Motionless

5: Lanterns

6: The Others

7: White Leaves

8: Blume

9: Boy

10: Sirin

11: Hounds

Love how they put the two worst songs from the EP on the album and excluded the best. Great work. Still excited though.

Not gonna listen to samples two and half months before the album comes out, that's dumb. Would rather the music sound fresh when I hear it for the first time as opposed to me sitting there for a couple months wondering how the full song will sound.

There's an instrumental break on this album? And a near-8 minute track?

I'm intrigued!

"Lanterns" sounds sick. Pissed off that the only place to pre-order the album is JB-HiFi though.

If you ask me the debut was their worst, 'Eduardo' is like the worst song they've ever written

Considering the album is all done, March is a bloody long way away. I mean, I understand they have to build hype and promote but damn son!

but if they didn't release it in March the album title wouldn't make sense

Eh, I really don't know about This Fire. Hope the rest of the album is more impressive.

This Fire is the worst song they've written. Boy was one of the best.

Album should be great as usual, though.

It just did nothing for me. The lyrics were dumb and musically it didn't really seem to go anywhere or do anything interesting.

Then again that was the only song on that album that fell short imo, the rest kicked ass.

This Fire is the worst song they've written.

I dunno about that. Plans almost gave me cancer.

Album sounds solid. Can't wait, sounds poppy and I could do with that with the amount of regurgitation going off at the moment.

BoT and Karnivool releases in 2013? I'm down.

"Lanterns" sounds sick"

I loved Eduardo. Great track.

Drummerboy, I wouldn't bet on Karnivool's album getting out in 2013, knowing how those guys operate.
