Blind Guardian limited release

2012-12-01 by Acanthus | 14 Comments
Prolific power metal act Blind Guardian have unveiled their oft hinted at 2013 release; the project is a massive boxset, entitled "A Traveler’s Guide to Space and Time." Set to release worldwide February 4, 2013 the boxset contains "15 CDs in 13 high quality digipacks" and is limited to 8000 copies.

The set not only contains the bands studio work, as "A Traveler’s Guide to Space and Time not only includes all the albums released during the so-called Virgin years (the record company brought out all the bands’ records between 1988 and 2004) but also all their previously unreleased demo recordings, rare bonus tracks and alternative versions of famous pieces from this era, and all of them have been remastered and some even remixed."

No pricing has been announced as of yet, and the full press release can be found at the link below.

I don't think they were very good back in their more speed metal-y days before Nightfall in Middle-Earth, which makes this uninteresting to me despite loving some of their albums.

Really cool, but way too expensive. I mean what's in there is worth the price, but It's just too much shit.
