Yngwie doesn't even try to put out quality music now; he just plays some random riffs and shreds over and over and over and over again

This is one of those guys that just plays way too fast way too much. For such a great musician, a lot of his albums are a chore. And I LOVE shred music, and was huge into all the shrapnel stuff.

Well of course Yngwie isn't mind-blowingly incredible anymore (although he is still quite amazing). It's 20 years after he arrived; of course people have finally been catching up. No one could compete with him in the early '80s though.
