I agree to a certain extent, but at some point you can't use subjectivity as an excuse. This band's
songwriting ability and instrumentation is far from the best in the genre. That is an objective
statement. A more relevant comparison would be between the new While She Sleeps and Bury
Tomorrow records(easily surpass Miss May I in terms of quality). If two people work the same job
and one of them is more efficient, responsible and harder working than the other, isn't it objective
to say he is better at his job?

It's like they go into the studio, and jam out 3 minutes worth of metal, call it a song, do it 10 more times, then go back and insert an uninspired chorus into each of their jams. My friend and I could do this exact process and create an album on the same level as this in 2 weeks, minus post-production. Now i know this is probably unlikely, but still plausible in terms of its simplicity.
How is it still appealing after all this time? People don't get tired of this? I guess the same could be said for today's mostly terrible pop music but I want to know. Anyone wanna jab at a deep culture-related musical argument? Feeling like motherfucking Socrates.

Yeah you raise some good points, and I do agree with your last statement using the job as an example. I still stand by my previous post, just didn't see a point in the dude bringing up converge/the chariot (two obviously superior bands) because those are the two "core" bands that are being bandwaggoned hard on sputnik. IDK, slightly irritating.
