Spoiler: It'll rule. I believe it's supposed to sound like a combination of Beacons and The Discovery, so yay moar heavy riffs.

Hell to the yes. Hope he brings the riffage. Didn't he say it was supposed to have some shoegaze influence too?

I'm honestly a little disappointed that he's making another really brief album, but I'm sure it'll still be cool.

@Omaha, while it's only 8 tracks, he said it will be about 45 minutes long. That's your average album length, and my best bet is NO FILLER! It's supposed to sound like a cross between Beacons, the Pumpkins' Siamese Dream and Hum's You'd Prefer An Astronaut.

The most exciting thing about this for me is the fact that it will be mastered like CDs these days SHOULD be, as opposed to the loudness war-torn pieces of shit that records these days are turned into; devoid of dynamics and space, squashed into lifeless bricks of noise with no impact for the sake of 'loudness'. It's all borne out of delusion, with no rational sense of reason for squashing the life out of music. Turn up your volume knob and you'll be able to hear the closest thing to four people playing great music in a room. Isn't that what musicians have wanted to achieve for the last 50+ years?

Yeah guys, true about the song length. Guess I'm just wary after LYBH; excited to see what happens here though.

I think that was a combination of some softer stuff he had leftover and wanted to let out following beacons and the loop album he released at the same time.

This going to be so awesome.

I'm curious if he'll do any vocals? The last track on LYBH, though brief, showed that he could be creative with his voice.
