Whilst I'd love an SYL comeback I don't want Devy to end up in that mindset he was in during it, particularly during Alien when he went massively over the top by not taking his meds. Plus he always makes awesome stuff.

He has made it clear many times he doesn't want to do Strapping again and isn't that person anymore so there's really no point in whinging about it cause he's not going back.

Yeah DTP live was beyond fantastic, and one of the best live shows I've attended as well. I've been listening to nothing but Deconstruction as of late, so I'm certainly looking forward to this.

I swear he's said it's gonna have a mix of all sorts of things he's done in the past, so some calmer stuff and some louder more extreme stuff. From what I'd gathered, something a bit like Noisescapes was gonna be before it got dropped from its label and ended and he decided to split the extreme (SYL) from the calm (Ocean Machine/solo).

Whilst my hopes are high, my expectations are not

I knew no one would agree because everyone here just about loves this dude but I went to see him with cynic and btbam and I wanted to cut my ears off.

Sounds good. The choir at the beginning was...eh...but the music at the end kicked ass (that robotic voice was totally reminiscent of Ocean Machine). Should be awesome, more stoked for Casualties of Cool and Ghost 2 though..
