Catchy chorus and cool riffs, I dig this song. Curious to what the rest of the album will be like.

Y2J
|
| |
He was always my favorite muppet
|
| |
Oh shyt that is chris jericho ha!!!
|
| |
featuring WWE wrestling superstar Chris Jericho
Oh look... another pretentious TV star who he/she can do anything based on popularity and ego. Didn't we learn our lesson with Paris Hilton?
|
| |
he's hardly a star...
|
| |
He's been doing this since 1999.
|
| |
thats fuking awesome I remember when he first started touting his band on the air wow
|
| |
^ That just proves my point even more. Using TV to popularize his band(grab his mindless followers).
Band is so mediocre. They offer nothing a thousand others don't. The only reason why Fozzy get
recognition is because of Jericho.
|
| |
Fuck yes
|
| |
aww wtf the link is gone
|
| |
@nonapplicable I hope you don't go into business...
|
| |
Wakka wakka
|
| |
I swear to god, at first I read "Fonz".
Now that would be awesome.
|
| |
Jericho fucking rules
|
| |
Yeah he was always one of my favorites
|
| |
@Calc
I hope you don't either. Talent > Marketing
|
| |
You know what? your right whenever I see a movie trailer on TV I'm like "what sellouts..." they're using TV to get their movie out to the masses that's so stupid...
|
| |
you mad? seriously
|
| |
Lol. That is a such poor comparison. Movie advertising is so unlike music advertising. Hardly any hard
rock/metal bands get TV advertising today. Even less of them who do have talent(Nickelback).
And sellouts? That doesn't make a lick of sense. How can a movie "sellout" unless it had a previous
state of success.
People are stupid. The press and media will latch on this band simply because a WWE star is in it.
That's what sells magazines and gets hits/views. That's what the stupid will follow.
|
| |
OMG KING ITS CHRIS JERICHO AND HE'S GOT THE WALLS OF JERICHO LOCKED IN ON THE ROCK!
|
| |
Sorry I just had to say that. I watched alot of wrestling when I was a kid.
|
| |
Other than Revolver magazine, no one even knows who Fozzy is. People know about the band because that dude from Black Label Society is friends with Chris Jericho.
|
| |
Save us Y2J!
Save us from Cena!
|
| |
not even a fan of this band but the idea that he's doing this just coz hes famous is retarded. its possible for some to have more than one passion, ya know. hes had this band since the late 90s or some shit.
|
| |
yeah nonapplicable is just being a bitch
|
| |
He's not allowed to advertise his own band without being called a sellout? If he has a solid fanbase already, I'm sure they'd all like to know about a band he's in.
Anyway, I really dig this song. I enjoyed their last 2 albums, and I have high hopes for the new one as well.
|
| |
He may have a passion for music but clearly the only reason why he is exploring it is because of his popularity. Think about it. He doesn't play an instrument, he isn't amazing vocally or lyrically. Where is the aptitude? Then why... would this band want him to front them? Hmmm let me think... Because he is freakn' Chris Jericho.
I don't get this "he created his band in 1999" thing. He was recognized in wrestling before that.
Besides, Fozzy hasn't got any hype until recently. Metal hammer is backing them hard as I'm sure
many websites/mags are. Jericho was even on their podcast where they praised the living sh*t out of Fozzy.
Paris Hilton has a passion for music. Would anyone give a flying F*** if it wasn't her?
P.S. Some people have trouble reading and like to put words in peoples mouths.
|
| |
Just because he's popular in one industry means he can't venture into another that he's interested in? Alright then.
|
| |
"He may have a passion for music but clearly the only reason why he is exploring it is because of his popularity. "
Or it's from his passion for music.
|
| |
I'm not saying he can't. I'm just saying his band shouldn't be judged based on the merit of his wrestling career(many people within this tread are). This is giving him an inflated ego about his musical ability which really isn't anything special. This is like when popstars become famous because of their looks(Ke$ha).
|
| |
Yeah, but I mean the thing is....Fozzy is pretty good, which has nothing to do with Jericho's popularity. You make it seem like if somebody's well known for one thing, they shouldn't be able to try anything else. If the man wants to make music and he's good at it (which he is), then let him.
|
| |
I agree with you =) Jericho should play music if he wants. I disagree that he is good enough to be
signed to a MAJOR label. I think it is pretty obvious why they are.
Edit: There are so many terrible female fronted bands that prove my point.
|
| |
You don't have to be good in order to get a record deal anymore. Just look at Rise Records. And I disagree with your disagreement that his band isn't good. Their previous 2 albums were really solid. "Wormwood" off of Chasing the Grail is an incredible song.
|
| |
Maybe I should clarify. Metalcore is a different bag because imitation will sell in that market(those darn kids). Century Media(Fozzy) in contrast is quite a reputable label. In my opinion the band is mediocre. Even at best though, Fozzy can't offer anything a thousand bands do better.
|
| |
He wrote for Metal Edge around the same time he started wrestling in ECW...so yeah he's not getting into music because he's famous.
And Fozzy's been getting hyped since around 2004-2005.
|
| |
thank you for changing the source news article donator-san
|
| |
Not digging this track at all, man. I really hope this is the worst the new album has to offer.
|
| |
Sigh... You guys are so caught up in specifics and nuances. Yeah, I don't know everything about the band and I don't aspire to. Who cares when they started writing music or why or how popular they were five years ago. The point is. This band have comparability blown up in notoriety because of Jericho's recent involvement in media. Of course it is natural to want to get your bands name out there, but the reaction to this band is all about Jericho's fame and less about the quality of the music.
If Jericho was replaced would we even be having this discussion? Nobody would give two sh*ts about Fozzy then.
This is probably futile because I'm speaking to a bunch of biased Jericho fans.
|
| |
he point is. This band have comparability blown up in notoriety because of Jericho's recent involvement in media.
14 years is considered recent?
Who cares when they started writing music or why or how popular they were five years ago.
Apparently you do since you are calling him out in the first place.
This is probably futile because I'm speaking to a bunch of biased Jericho fans.
Nope. I have never liked Jericho in the 15 years I have watched wrestling.
|
| |
NonApplicable is clearly a jealous Juventud Guerrera alt.
|
| |
that's the best comment I've read on here in months.
|
| |
Ha, thanks!
|
| |
damn people getting totally butt hurt over some fuckin Fozzy news
|
| |
NonApplicable is clearly a jealous Juventud Guerrera alt.
Thats me!
I like how no one addresses my main argument and keeps dancing around details.
BTW. No one knew/gave a flying F*** about Fozzy until recently. That was my point.
And although Poet you may not like Jericho for wrestling, clearly you are in the minority. Most people
here are splurging about Jericho and not the tunage.
|
| |
Must be good cuz good at porn.
|
| |
i won't listen to this because he was in fake wrestling and i cannot connect with any person who associates with homoerotic soap opera
|
| |
Fozzy Wozzy was a bear but Fozzy Wozzy had no hair
|
| |
this was better than Jada Pinkett Smith's band i will say that
|
| |
"This is like when popstars become famous because of their looks(Ke$ha)"
what?? ke$ha?? looks?? really??
|
