M83 Scoring Sci-Fi Flick

2012-06-29 by zer0limit | 19 Comments
M83 frontman Anthony Gonzalez announced he would be scoring music for the upcoming science fiction movie "Oblivion" directed by Joe Kosinski, who enlisted the help of Daft Punk for his film debut "Tron Legacy"

Gonzalez spoke, "I've wanted to do soundtracks for so long, and starting with such an ambitious project, especially in the sci-fi category, means a lot to me." He also reveals: "My vision is really to have a combination of very electronic moments, very M83, and sometimes merge into something more soundtrack-y, but my kind of soundtracks."

The film will star Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman with a tentative release date of 26 April 2013

This quote is golden.

Daft Punk didn't fail so hopefully M83 doesn't either.

Would also like an Oblivion: Reconfigured remix album too.

This should turn out to be really good. He's already proven that they can handle a double album with
excellent execution, a score should be no problem for him.

I can't believe Tom Cruise is basically 50 and he still looks beautiful

I think the secret to scientology is sorcery or the fountain of youth.
