Same here dude

Another awesome track. So pumped to hear the whole album. My only gripe is the lyrics, it's not that they're bad, they're just... REALLY Christian xD. I hope we see some variety there rather than every song being a song about how great God is.
|
| |
Yeah the lyrics are strong. Doesn't bother me thought cuz I'm Christian but yeah lol. Album will be fantastic
|
| |
Haha this is a true statement. Plus I think if I wasn't a christian I'd rather listen to Christian bands than bands with terrible lyrics. Like emmure or some shit.
|
| |
Oh for sure, I'll take these over horrendous lyrics from bands like emmure any day, I just can't really relate to these lyrics is all.
But really, vocals are great, music is great, and in the end the lyrics won't hurt the album for me at all. This will most likely be a 4.0 or a 4.5 for me.
|
| |
Yeah man. And yeah musically band is very good
|
| |
Hahahha. Perfect analogy. And yes I know it was just a comparison and they were the first shit band that popped in my head.
|
| |
Are all of their songs this religiously focused? Turns me off quite a bit tbh
|
| |
they are a christian band so...
|
| |
and yeah Frankie really does seem like a nice guy
|
| |
I'm not religious but Christianity doesn't turn me off one bit in music. Great song.
|
| |
Yeah it is a great song
|
| |
Can't wait for the album. Really glad Solid State is finally signing some solid(pun intended) acts. The Overseer and Wolves should make some great additions to an already great label.
|
| |
Yeah man. To Speak of Wolves, Wolves at the Gate and The Overseer are all excellent bands
|
| |
I didnt get into to speak of wolves until their last record but, this record could be album of the summer at least.
|
| |
"they are a christian band so..."
Doesn't mean that they have to explicitly base all of their lyrics on the Christian faith to the extreme extent displayed here. Answer the question.
|
| |
To the extreme? Every Christian band other than As I Lay Dying and Demon Hunter base EVERY song around their faith. If you don't like it, don't listen to it. No reason to be ignorant about it.
|
| |
Hey anyone whose interested there are samples up for the album on amazon.

Havey with metal you usually get explicit satanic or explicit christian. Deal with it and enjoy the MUSIC.
|
| |
I suppose so, but a lot of christian metal bands are pretty explicitly christian in the way they bring about their message, at least the ones i know of(underoath, for today, mychildren mybride, demon hunter, to name a few)
|
| |
is this song on the actual album? i dont see it on the amazon tracklist
|
| |
oh, nvm, i was looking for awaken, awaken lol
|
| |
Underoath too for Christian bands that aren't super Christiany
|
| |
Eh i beg to differ, define the great lines got a pretty obvious christian concept to it and they say at like every one of their concerts that their christian
|
| |
Yes but their lyrics aren't like this band
|
| |
No not at all
|
| |
Yeah exactly.
|
| |
Hey like you like my avatar tomas

Did you even read my post?
"Doesn't mean that they have to explicitly base all of their lyrics on the Christian faith to the extreme extent displayed here."
I understand that all Christian bands will have lyrics influenced by their faith, but that doesn't mean that they have to explicitly state their beliefs.
If you don't like it, don't listen to it. No reason to be ignorant about it.
I'm going to listen to it either way, so no thanks. And please, feel free to point out where I was being ignorant. I just wanted to know whether or not all of their lyrics are akin to these.
Deal with it and enjoy the MUSIC.
Thank you, I will.

Well it's a pretty desert. But it is the name of my project, Desert in Siberia
|
| |
Yep. Its not quite official but I've been writing for awhile now.
|

I'm goin out to eat, I'll talk to you about when I get back.

|
| |
Awesome song is awesome, awesome album will be awesome.
Those cleans are sooooooooo good.
|
| |
"Yeah man. To Speak of Wolves, Wolves at the Gate and The Overseer are all excellent bands"
My 3 favorite up-and-coming bands for sure, they're all fucking great.
Anyway, just listened to the previews on iTunes, they're all pretty long so I got a good feel for each song, and THEY'RE ALL AWESOME. July 3rd why you no here yet.
|
| |
Just checked out The Overseer cause of the name drop. Pretty good stuff
|
| |
Love this track.. I'm not religious so to me songs about god are just more mythical song topics and it doesn't bother me one bit. I get that to Christians the songs carry weight and added depth and can allow them to say "amen" a lot (stereotypical lol), but to me it's like Amon Amarth going on about Viking mythology all the time I don't give a shit about Viking mythology either though I enjoy the music and the lyrical content because to me it's just a story. Like in this song all this talk of kings and nations falling under his power, at first I thought it was some lyrical journey through some kind of medieval world not about god but that's fine with me.
|
| |
Not trying to be a dick but comparing Christianity 'mythology' to Viking mythology is fucking stupid as hell and very wrong at
the same time
|
| |
It's not. But this guy putting the worlds most popular religion next to Viking mythology angers me
|
| |
Hahah yeah probs. but yeah how stoked are you for this album?!?!
|
| |
True that
|
| |
I've been listening to the album preview all day like it's the actual thing. I'm gonna be absolutely hooked to this album for quite awhile.
|
| |
Mhmhmhmhmhm
|
| |
They just uploaded the lyric video for Safeguards.
|
| |
make a news article bro
|
| |
