also no one implied music-listening was dependent on substances, but they certainly increase the
enjoyment of the experience/can make you notice things you haven't before/look at it from a

This thread was HIGHLY entertaining for many reasons. First of all, if you don't like this band, what point are you going to make by bitching about it?
Second of all, making an AC album hierarchy is a little silly, each one has a different place and purpose, though obviously everyone might have a different favorite (Strawberry Jam is mine).
Third, I read somewhere that they record sober. Don't know if that means anything within the drugs are stupid argument, but there you go.
Fourth, and most importantly, I'm really fucking excited for this album. I'm reasonably worried about being let down, but still. Can't wait.

^ yeah I read an interview (might be the same one) where he said that they wrote all their music in the same room, garage band style as opposed to emailing each other melodies or sounds.
