This is good, pure Queens of the Stone Age, though.

Yay!
| |
cool
| |
I really liked Humbug- it was so dark and psychedelic. It's nice to see Josh Homme really having an influence on them, this song has a really sinister sound.
| |
might buy this if i have $10 extra on saturday
| |
not too shabby. wish alex stood out a little bit more though. both, his vocals and lyrics have gotten so much better
| |
Great band who have stayed honest to their art. Lyricly Alex Turner has become quite the poet, I agree with the poster above, Humbug was a great record with Homme at the wheel.
| |
I can see why this is the B-side. R U Mine is great. This... not so much.
| |
R U mine sucks IMO, generic pop song. Electricity shoulda been the single.
| |
I've never understood why people hate these guys. Easily one of my favourite bands and i've never had such fun watching a band "grow" so naturally. I mean the debut to this song, awesome!
| |
I'm a little weird with the two songs... Maybe I have to wait for the xcontext
| |
^ that might be it for me as well
| |
I wish Alex Turner had more of an influence
| |
On Humbug they still sounded like the Arctic Monkeys, just playing songs with a similar style to Queens of the Stone Age. This just literally sounds like a tune written and performed by a QOTSA tribute band. I can't even tell if it's really Alex Turner singing this.
| |
This is a pretty badass song tough. i wish all their stuff sounded like this.
and humbug didnt sound anything like QOTSA, monkeys actually crafted the influence of josh homme into their own
sound.
| |
Suck It & See is probably their best work since their debut, and these last few songs they've released have been pretty fucking awesome too. I really hope they continue in this direction!
| |
R U Mine was absolute gold. This? I'd say bronze.
| |
Electricity >>>> R U Mine?
sorry, jackalope
| |
^^^ That's debatable.
| |
QOTSA worship, what happened to this band?
| |
^ They got better. No pop-rock shit pure rock and roll
| |
FUCK HOW DID I NOT SEE THIS?
But after listening, I like the instrumentation but overall the song is just okay.
| |
"They got better" nah, they lost everything that made them good in the first place. They're too busy rimming Josh Homme to come up with anything decent these days.
| |
Arn't Artic Monkeys a indie band? WTF is up with this QOTSA speak?
| |
Sometimes genres crossover, no matter how much complaining
