... I always thought they were a great band.
Weird that Charlie started in a power pop band.

yeah it's amazing what they've done with the money. i read in an interview with charlie today that they've done 40 minutes of the film and put the trailer out in the hope to get more funding to finish it.

Also, Davey, i think it'll be more than a year before Fightstar regroup because in the same interview Charlie said he was going to do another solo album and Dan an Al were going to do more with Gunship.

it'll certainly be a while yet, but at least they're all still doing and releasing things

Yeah there's no way they only made it on like, what, $1,600 USD? I mean that might be all they spent of their own money, but I'm sure they got backing.

well, the guys have been making music videos and other things for a while so they would have had some of the equipment/software already.

and as i've said they put this out to get backing cause they want to finish it and have no money :P

I think it's something to with money yeah, they said they put this out to show what they could do with a tiny budget with the hope of getting more to complete it. I think the thing has grown a lot, cause when they started it like 5 years ago it was supposed to be short film, now they say it's a full 90 odd minute thing. When they put the trailer out they had 40 minutes done so there's still some way to go.
