Psychotic Waltz in Thessaloniki
SO
FUCKING
STOKED
This is going to be sold out, I have to get tickets asap...
| | | Lucky you, Voivod. Europe gets everything.
I'm glad they're only doing a few shows though. They really need to get that new album written and recorded. Then, maybe they can do a proper tour and finally play some dates in the country that they're from.
| | | Psychotic Waltz are HUGE in Hellas and Germany, that's why they are doing live dates in these countries.
These gigs are sort of a crash test for the band.
If these gigs go well (they will go well), more dates will show up.
Most unfortunately, they are literally unknown in the US.
In a past conversation with Sputnik mod Trey Spencer, who is a San Diego resident (so is the band), he told me that almost nobody took notice that PW reunited.
Imagine what's the situation to the rest of the US.
| | | Yeah, for sure. The shows they did last year proved that there was still interest so I'm sure these will be a success. Even in the 90s, they were always bigger over there. That's why I say the new album has to happen before anything else. There's a chance that it will finally get them some deserved recognition and it will make them more "relevant" at the very least.
I think the US is more receptive to this kind of music now compared to back then.

Agreed.
| | | sweet
| | | FUCK! I want them in USA
| | | These guys need to either: make their way to NA--OR get that fucking album written.
| | | "get that fucking album written"
POS that.
Into the everflow is one of the bes prog metal albums ever made, I only wish that they are as good live as they are in the studio
| | | For some reason I thought these guys had been broken up for ages. Did I miss something?
| | | You missed them reuniting in 2010. They haven't done too much since then though.
| | | Now that the dust has settled, I can write some stuff about the Hellas shows...
Gig in Athens had terrible sound but the band slayed, gig in Thessaloniki had a much better sound and the band played even better than in Athens.
Edit: In Keep It True Festival, band had an awesome sound too.
| | | psychotic waltz mad people come down south sometime
| | | sweet voivod
| | | Wait, Voivod. You saw them 3 times? Dude...just die already. Lol.
