diggin the hell out of this
| |
Probably a 3.5 on first listen. Could go up or down with further listens. Nothing will beat Scepter Of The Ancients though.
| |
i rated based on riffs solely i dont even hear the other instruments when i listen to this band
| |
also track 2 was pretty bad on first listen. doesnt seem like it shouldve made it onto the album. will listen again tomorrow when im not half-asleep!

That's because Scepter of the Ancients has the best death metal vocals of all time.
| |
Truth.
| |
I downloaded Scepter of the Ancients based based on a extremely vocal member in the last Psycroptic news post.
Have to say it is amazing! I don't like straight up death metal, but something about this band and Benighted click with me.
| |
Gonna have to disagree with you Imperial, I don't think anything tops Lord Worm on None So Vile, but I completely agree that Scepter will overshadow everything else this band does.
| |
Idk this was kinda boring but still solid

Fair enough. None So Vile is another classic.

yeeessss

what
| |
It feels like the same riff over and over again. The same mind blowing riff...over...and over...and over again.
| |
Got a decent quality downloaded. The riffs are indeed awesome, will have to listen again because I don't remember anything else about the album other than DEM RIFFS
| |
every death metal album that exists has one/two (dependent on # of guitarists) riff style (and thus...similar riffs over and over)...it should be something you're used to if you listen to the genre
| |
this is actually pretty decent
| |
Wow this is awesome
| |
i actually kinda don't mind this vocalist although tech death will NEVER be my go-to. ever
| |
huge
| |
I'll give it a woot....... woot.
| |
Wow, anticlimactic....
| |
I gave it a listen today, but I wasn't really in a death metal mood, and it wasn't grabbing me....however, I do love Psycroptic. I will need to give it another spin...one thing I can say, it does sound like Psycroptic!
| |
anthracks i never listen to death metal thank you for the tip i will remember that
| |
no probz

Good death metal guitarists are able to create and paint different atmospheres. No discrediting the talent of this band just It felt really dry on this album, not my bag.
| |
nah every single death metal guitarist has one style that has a couple different substyles. dont even waste your time debating with me because ive listened to it all. every musician has a signature sound that permeates the whole of their work. it isn't limited to death metal guitarists.
| |
Yeah a signature sound that they can create new atmosphere or mood with...psycroptic doesn't do that. It's emotionally/atmospherically static. You fucking condescending douche.
| |
we are talking about the guitarist solely, not the whole band sweetie.
| |
Obviously I was referring to the guitarist.
| |
a guitarist doesn't create an atmosphere by himself?
