Within Temptation is dutch. Sorry if you guys don't agree, they are listed as metal (alternetive metal) on Wikipedia, and that's good enough for me, just like old Linkin Park or KoRn (although they are/were nu metal, but still). Metal is a pretty wide genre, but imo not freakin' Gothic pop rock just because distorted guitars, hard hitting drums and emotional female voice... but maybe that's just me.
