Of course they play most places 3 times and not a single show in Utah, just like everyone else.

So, I'm in Brooklyn the 28th of March. All the way from Denmark. Maybe one should go to Washington that date and watch Van Halen! m/

The band has not release a solid, truly consistent album since their debut. And honestly i don't expect them to repeat their 1978 triumph. But i hope the album will be half as good as "1984".

BigHans & The Notrap: Yeah Denmark is great, especially Copenhagen. And it's too bad so little of our music in English isn't more well-known other places (well, except for a few bands like fx Volbeat). But I guess it's like that for all small countries.

Mew is pretty well known here in the states.
I haven't heard many bands from Denmark who actually write lyrics in Danish. Major bummer.
This could either be really good or be a complete fail. I am anxious regardless.
Van Halen was the band that got me playing guitar and drums.

Beefshoes: If you wan't to listen to some Danish music, with Danish lyrics, listen to Malk De Koijn. Probably the most popular Hip-Hop group/artists in Denmark. I've added their albums here on Sputnik, but there's no review for them. I was thinking about doing one, but it's no fun writing a review for an album where no one else knows what the lyrics mean.

And yes, Mew is great! Frengers is an excellent album (and they're pretty darn popular in Japan, for some reason; along with Michael Learns To Rock?)

Watched Pretty Maids live about to years ago, in a street-festival before an AC/DC concert in "Horsens". "Please Don't Leave Me" is every Dane's guilty pleasure!

"Please Don't Leave Me" is such an amazing song...
Thin Lizzy's cover btw.

Pretty Maids's Future World is one of the most underrated albums of the 80's.
Brilliant album.

It just isn't the same without Michael Anthony's background vocals though.
