|

YES OH YES OH YES OH YES
Groezrock too. so so so so good.
|
| |
FUCKING YES
|
| |
I got chills when i saw this so awesome. My Verse shirt just came yesterday from bridge 9 what great timing. In my opinion Verse is one of the most influential, inspiring, and passionate bands in the hardcore scene.
|
| |
Wow, did not see this coming! what a great surprise!

Great news.

That's awesome.
|

oh my god hell yes
|
| |
read this as "verse - rareoform" and got really confused for a second
|
| |
Hardcore's back.
|
| |
"But me want have heart"
No, only hardcore n00bs want have heart. Fucking overrated.
"Hardcore's back."
Where did it go?
|
| |
it's like [Verse] transcended [hardcore] and became [hardcore]
|
| |
have heart suck
|
| |
just another album to add to the list of anticipated 2012 releases
|
| |
Have Heart is great how do they suck?
|
| |
Because everything they did was an imitation of what the earlier post-2000 melodic hardcore bands did. They weren't original, they had nothing new to say, and all they did was imitate bands like, well, Verse.
Plus that second album is basically chug chug, verse, hook, chug chug, verse, hook, chug chug chug chug chug chug chug chug gang vocals chug chug chug chug Bane impression chug chug chug chug
|
| |
Because they're boring
|
| |
The things we carry is a great hardcore album. I don't see what's wrong with being inspired by other bands before you and making similar music. They weren't trying to reinvent hardcore but they played it with great lyrics and a lot of passion. It's hard not to see the passion and sincerity in the music. And same with Verse but Have Heart isn't a Verse imitation just a different take on the genre.
|

Inspired and imitating are not the same thing. Great lyrics? Lol he said the same thing every single song. All about how hard life is and how hard his upbringing was. We get it. You had it rough. Now let's move on.
|
| |
Not at all actually you need to pay more attention to the lyrics. And I know they are not the same thing it's not like Have Heart went into the studio saying "ok we are going to imitate Verse" they were probably inspired by Verse or earlier bands just like every modern hardcore band is.
|
| |
Shai Hulud's lyrics are all you need
|
| |
"Not at all actually you need to pay more attention to the lyrics. "
I did. I just read most of them too. I stick by my story.
"And I know they are not the same thing it's not like Have Heart went into the studio saying "ok we are going to imitate Verse" they were probably inspired by Verse or earlier bands just like every modern hardcore band is"
First of all, I didn't say that's what they were going for. I just said that's what it came off as. It doesn't have to be intended. Second of all, READ the lyrics, don't just listen to them. He says the same exact thing every single song. Same theme, same lyrics..... bra bra bra chug chug chu
|
| |
i do read the lyrics and if I need to go through every song on the things we carry and state the theme for you i will I just didn't think I had to....lol
|
| |
I got the blues, and the blues got me
|
| |
"i do read the lyrics and if I need to go through every song on the things we carry and state the
theme for you i will I just didn't think I had to....lol"
Dude, read them again. The theme for every single one is "I struggle so I'm going to cry about it and
then I'm going to talk about how I should rise up, but I'll use "you" instead of "I" because that will
make it relate-able.
|
| |
Well obviously he says you to make it relate-able he is speaking to an audience .
alright i'll do some of this for you
Life Is Hard Enough- Life is hard enough you don't need to turn to alcohol or other substances. Push aside the want to turn to those substances and live with the pain . You can overcome shit by yourself
Watch me sink- Look for a different way to live than that of the selfish world we live in and a society that tries to keep you down. Mostly it's about living with heart and love not lust (i guess that's like the whole have heart thing lol)
Armed with a mind- the fact that people live thinking things like appearance are most important. Also the whole idea of armed with a mind is that your mind is the best gift you have and can do more than violence or fighting can. basically more people need to use their minds and thoughts to get a point across rather than to use their fists (violence)
About face- realizing you are wrong about something in life and also knowing that you can change. Changing yourself for the better.
The Unbreakable- Someone he obviously looked up to that obviously had a hard life but still stayed positive. he still has a hope and love in a hateful world.
Old man 2- basically what this person said ""i remember the man who just wanted life to live and let live
while we're searching for our lives."
black elk never should you forget,
people want to see you bleed.
sink not to their level,
surrender only what they need"
Song of shame- someone who thought he was above pain and turned to alcohol and became an alcoholic.
to us fools- we won't become what you became
something more than ink- even though you are gone what you said means a lot. Basically what they do is more than just music or words on a page.
the machinist- don't be another machine that society makes you out to be
so i mean obviously they are not all about him. you have to look a little deeper sometimes. i could go into more detail but I'm tired
|
| |
have shart
|
| |
Thanks for affirming my beliefs,s ir.
|
| |
happy
|
| |
so i guess i won
|
| |
They didn't last too long in the real world then...
|
| |

Great news. Probably going to see them at groezrock. Stoked.
|

Glad to see this!
|
| |
Makes up for Thrice and Thursday going under.
Thursday, maybe. Not Thrice though.
|
| |
best best best news
|
| |
I meant hardcore is back, cause i'm tired of hearing bands with thousands of breakdowns (trapped under ice etc) and want to start hearing creative political lyrics again.
|
| |
YESSSSSSSS man this is awesome
2012 will rule face
|
| |
Aggression was pretty cool, I wonder how this will turn out. I honestly assumed these guys were from Boston since they were straight-edge and everything.
|
| |
That's not what I was saying but hahahaha oh my god.
|
| |
Yeah, I wasn't saying every straight-edge kid was from Boston but the straight-edge hardcore scene's HQ is definitely in Boston, and that's where the scene is most prevalent, not to mention they're usually affiliated with Boston (well...Boston AREA, not exactly from Boston) straight-edge hardcore bands like Have Heart.
|
| |
"hahahaha oh my god."
|
| |
hell yes. good news
|
| |
