Soulfly will release their new album, entitled Enslaved, on March 13th, 2012 via Roadrunner Records. The release will also mark Soulfly's 15th year anniversary. The line-up on Enslaved features frontman Max Cavalera and guitarist Marc Rizzo, with Tony Campos (ex-Static-X) taking up the bass and brand-new drummer David Kinkade taking over behind the kit.

One of the songs on the album, "Revengeance", is about Cavalera's slain stepson Dana, whose death was the catalyst for the creation of Soulfly. He partners with his sons Igor and Richie on vocals, while his other son Zyon plays drums on the track. It is the first time he has performed with three of his sons.

Tracklist:
01. Resistance

I only sort of like some of this band's older material, would be cool if this ends up being good. Track names aren't all that promising.

Can't wait, judging by the works of the guy who's doing their album artwork it's gonna be back to the death metal days (he's done work for Obituary, Dimmu Borgir and Borknagar amongst others). FWIW that's not the official track order, that's yet to be confirmed. Those are simply the track names. 3 of those aren't gonna be on the standard release so will likely be after Soulfly VIII, as that'll definitely be on all versions.

Only heard conquer, and it was boring as shit

Conquer is their worst album tbh. If you ever get curious, check out Dark Ages, that's a cool album.

And Jared, I wouldn't say Soulfly are very catchy, but they do have groove to them.

Rizzo is starting to stagnate this band...

Not just artwork, that's a big clue but also the new members. Tony Campos plays in Possessed among numerous other bands, David Kinkade was in Borknagar and is known for extremely fast drumming. Travis Ryan from Cattle Decapitation (a death metal/grindcore/deathgrind band for those who don't already know) is providing guest vocals on one song, replacing Adam Warren of the deathcore band Oceano. By adding all these up it does indicate it'll be a much heavier record than Omen.

So, this marks the 15th time he's written a song about him? Fuck dude, give it up, we get it.

So it's really going to suck?

And the only album worthy by this band is their s/t.

Hope this is better than Conquer, Omen, & the CC albums. Would really be great if Max's lyrics are actually good or fresh this time around.
