Chris Vrenna leaves M. Manson

2011-12-02 by Raul Stanciu STAFF | 21 Comments
Keyboardist Chris Vrenna has left Marilyn Manson's band to focus on movies and video games soundtracks, DJ outings and production career but also a new Tweaker album.

Regarding the decision Vrenna told The Gauntlet: "I'm incredibly proud of the work I did with Manson and look forward to the release of Born Villain. I wish my brothers well but with the recording largely completed I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career which involves production work, film scoring, and future musical collaborations".

Meanwhile, Manson's new album "Born Villain" is set to be released February 2012.

this announcement is 10 days old, but since Ginger Fish also left the band I thought this should be mentioned too

Wow, so he really has no one left besides Twiggy now. Then again, thats all he's every really needed to make his music worthwhile (and John 5, who will probably never be with his band again).

Well, everyone was very happy to see Twiggy back but The High End Of Low is worse than Eat Me Drink Me, save for a few songs. This time I don't know what to say about the new album because Manson has mentioned again that the new record will slay and it's brutal, reckless etc etc but The High End was disappointingly slow and un-metal

It's funny because this band sucks even more with Twiggy on it

I imagine it started a bit with Skrillex and his success, I can understand members of electronic groups starting because it's similar to what they already do; rock groups and the like however always cause me to raise an eyebrow.

Scoring soundtracks is addictive and profitable if you do good work.

Reznor is doing pretty decent stuff with scoring Fincher's films.
