very cool. good to see him still involved with music and his soundtracks go perfectly with Fincher films. cant argue with free music either.

This film still bugs me, didn't need to be remade.

Wish Trent would make more than soundtracks, the worlds ripe for another NIN release.

This film still bugs me, didn't need to be remade.

At first, I kind of felt this way, because the originals were great, but, awesome as Noomi Rapace was, Rooney Mara looks more like Lisbeth Salander as described in the book, and the idea of David Fincher going back to this sort of darker material after The Social Network and Benjamin Button is intriguing.

Of course, the Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross soundtrack just makes it that much better.

I will however never forgive the film for making her be far less goth than the original - at the very least I can't let that go.

Yeah, I've really been starting to warm up to this remake the more I've seen and heard about it. And this will certainly do it's part to help as well. Plus, I just really like Daniel Craig and David Fincher.

If anything, NR-Salander looked too "cool".
Although RM-Salander still looks Hollywood-polished, she looks more accurate and kind of heroin-addicty to me with the too-short bangs and whited out eyebrows: http://collider.com/wp-content/uploads/rooney-mara-the-girl-with-the-dragon-tattoo-07.jpg

I want that top so bad, lol.

Point taken, NR-Salander had a decidedly European look. Here's where I rant about the trailer not showing RM-Salander in her badass-ery.

Personally those pants are killer, as is the subtle use of orange around the eye's. The bracelet on her left arm almost reminds me of an Alchemy Gothic piece too.

I want them both to be my friends. :]

I don't think there's too much point in showing very much about the remake in the trailers, since I'd wager many people will have at least seen the movies, if not read the books, so I'm fine with them just giving us these teaser images of the aesthetics, haha.

I can't judge the pants until I see the whole cut, but I like the subtle sheen.
I know some goths that don't like the co-opting of goth/punk styles in movies (and fashion in general), but, if it's turning out shit like this, I'm totally cool with it, haha.

Yeah I'm completely down with styles such as this going a bit more mainstream; her hair is quite awesome.

Burberry was rockin' the spikes this spring. If I had the bread, I would've totally copped one of their vests or jackets.

Interesting how a brand like Burberry (favorite knock-off for Korean moms) is trying to reinvent itself. They did have some sick studded jackets, although not too special otherwise. Just appealing to my love of shiny, spiky things, haha.

Far more fun to go to a leather shop and buy your own rivets/spikes - making custom stuff is something I fully plan on getting into when I have a bit more $.

@Acanthus - DIY is great, but I'm no good at sewing/pattern-making, which is where buying stuff from people who know how comes in, lol.

I've always liked that part, haha.
