New The Red Paintings Video

2011-11-22 by Jom | 5 Comments
Australia's The Red Paintings have officially released the video for "The Streets Fell Into My Window" - taken from 2005's (!) Walls EP - to the world after privately debuting it at various film festivals.

The video continues the Alice in Wonderland theme with live action performance, puppetry, and stylized animation. View it below:

Unfortunately, there is no new news regarding the band's first-ever LP - The Revolution Is Never Coming, which, at five years in the making, feels more appropriate (in the most tongue-in-cheek, yet respectful way possible, Mr. McSweeney) titled The Album That's Never Coming - but the band continues to tease more and more information regarding the album's contents since it debuted "Hong Kong" for 24 hours last year: the record is slated to include a twenty-piece choir and forty-five piece orchestra.

The band will also embark on a short Australian tour in January:

5th – Elsewhere Bar, Gold Coast [18+]
6th – Australian Hotel, Ballina [18+]
7th – The Hi-Fi, Brisbane [18+]
10th – Blush Nightclub, Gosford [18+]
11th – Factory Theatre, Sydney [18+]
12th – Tuggeranong Alliance, Canberra [18+]
13th – The Hi-Fi, Melbourne [18+]
14th – Fowlers Live, Adelaide [18+]
19th – The Bakery, Perth [18+]
20th – Railway Express, Darwin [18+]

been waiting a long time for them to come to perth and they finally do while i will be in NSW

-_-

the fully recorded version of the revolution is never coming (the song, not the album) sounded amazing when they had it up for 24 hours once, i wish i had ripped it now. Hopefully that album will come one day.

I can't help but feel that the album is just a thinly-veiled elaborate trolling. Band is still cool though
