Robb Flynn doesn't sound very Robb Flynnish on this one. Is that possible?

I also just read that MetalHammer gave this a 10 out of 10. Time to start looking for a leak.....

MetalHammer are professional. There's probably not a leak.

Song makes me feel big and strong 5/5
but then it ends and I realise I'm weak and pathetic 1/5

There's always a leak :D. I can't remember the last time I actually had to wait for the release date to listen to a CD. Hopefully this is as good as it's being hyped to be.

Song is pretty awesome. I haven't really listened to any of these guys' stuff yet, where would be a good place to start with them?

@heyadam Go and Listen to Burn My eyes. Then check out The Blackening. The rest of their stuff not as good IMHO. Those 2 disc's are must listens's though.

before the blackening they were mostly groove metal/nu-metal and no thrash. The thrash machine head is just a recent phenomenon contrary to popular belief. So I'd go for burn my eyes and through the ashes, cuz those are their most representative tbh.

The Blackening is not entirely thrash. There are some groove elements.

Apparently it is. Sadly it is. Rhythm section isn't anywhere near loud enough during the chorus, for some reason. Boring chuga chuga chugs we've all heard before, a metalcoretastic pseudo-epic part 5:30 in... Hope the rest of the album is better.

The Blackening is probably their best album, but the Burning Red is just so damn memorable and catchy.

Flynn should be hanged for unstoppable, idiotic heavy metal attitude and awful lyricism

other than that, his albums are good

Burn My Eyes is their best by far. I would always recommend starting with that. The More Things Change is decent, Through The Ashes has some awesome songs, and The Blackening is very solid.

But Burn My Eyes rules hard

I heard there is autotunage on the new album. Machine head should not steal ideas from limp bizkit. It's not good for them.
