Flaw reunites; back in studio 2006-10-27 by Jom STAFF | 4 Comments | Hard rockers Flaw, who disbanded without much press a number of months ago, have reunited to an extent. Vocalist Chris Volz, guitarist Jason Daunt, and drummer Chris Ballinger have reunited the band and have been working on material for the band's third studio album.
Through an online posting, guitarist Daunt had this to say:
We hope to be doing shows in a month or so and will likely have all material for the new album ready by the end of year.
Ironically, the band's mySpace has not been updated of the news, nor has the band's official site, which hasn't been updated since 2004.
Universal Records supposedly dropped Flaw after its two major label albums, the debut Through the Eyes (2001) and the sophomore album Endangered Species (2004), were unable to sell 500,000 copies combined. The band's break-up was not widely broadcasted to fans, even though fistfights and verbal sparring between ex-members and current members became suddenly common. Volz went on to create Five Bolt Main, who released an album in September 2005. The album, entitled Venting, could have passed for another Flaw album, and was otherwise unimpressive, with the only single, "Pathetic," being sent to radio and being completely unsuccessful.
