the amount of hate this band gets on this site borders on preposterous. i can completely see why someone wouldn't like them, but to not even appreciate some of the stuff they do is crazy... EP will either be awesome or a mess...

apparently there's a lot of confusion about the ep. yeah, it's only 3 songs and only 30 minutes, but they're following it up with a full length, hopefully later this year, and if not, then the beginning of next year. and they're supposed to be part of the story.

anyway, i totally agree with you, climactic. personally, they're one of my favorites, though i can see why people wouldn't like them. definitely not warranting of the hate they get, though.

Looking forward to 30 minutes of wank, whether it be good or bad, I am obligated too listen to this.

Nice cover art. At least BTBAM's longer songs have, minus Swim to the Moon, have been very good. This should be fairly good though, considering the bit of Specular Reflection they showed us was very good.

BTBAM are great it is true. But I mean with an outlandish prog-title like that you would think they would kind of go more out on a limb and do something new...

It will be good no doubt and I hear some subtle hints at a new type of sound with the singing and backing guitars, but only marginally so. I just feel like they could do so much more than the same old 6 minute track that has a weird intro, is broken up by a short clean-vocal section, and ends on the same note that many of their other tracks do.

Stoked, but only 3 tracks? Feel a bit gibbed. Although, I'm not surprsed since TGM was only 6. Next album will be the one track that goes for 80 minutes.

lol guys its an EP, the band has said this several times, for some reason the label decided to call this an LP. Thats why its 30 mins and not as long as TGM or Colors, its a friggin EP haha. Anyway, this will be good.

I think they meant for it to be an EP when they were writing it but ended up with too much material. That's why it's too long for an EP but still short compared to your average LP. I know most of the people here only care because they're obsessed with keeping track with how long BTBAM's songs are so they can use the word "pretentious" a few million more times.

these guys definitely don't deserve the hate they get on this site. If you don't like the fact they play fucking long prog metal songs listen to a different band... thats the point of there music so get over it. There aren't very many bands around today that have the technical skills this band showcases on every album and this new song sounds like some of their best work in my opinion

I'm pretty sure most of the people who hate on them are the same people who were pooping their pants when Colors first came out. But, you know, one person on the site hates and everyone follows.

It's not about the long songs, it's because they wank their guitars stupidly, have absolutely ridiculously pretentious song titles and try way too hard to be "prog". Similar to what Steven Wilson did on The Incident.

i felt like this sample was rambling nonsense up until 3:50, and the part of the sample afterwords was really good.

That's my problem with BTBAM, I cant skip the horridly bad parts of their songs because they're evenly dispersed within the amazingly good parts. It's like throwing worms into my German chocolate cake.

How can you people hate BTBAM? "Pretentious"? How can that term even be applied to a band like BTBAM, who make music for the entertainment of their faithful audience?

If you don't like them that's okay, you can have your own opinion. BTBAM has been my favorite band for a couple of years now. It just makes no sense to me that people can bash a band based on the titles and lengths of the songs.

People may love one BTBAM album and hate another, as they're all so musically complex diverse from each other. But that's what I love about BTBAM. They're so unpredictable that you never know what to expect in their music. I'm always pleasantly surprised when I hear BTBAM's music for the first time.
