Agreed. I hate going into into an album with such expectations, but since both Hollow Crown and Ruin are among my favorite metalcore albums, and their new material is sub-par post hardcore, I really can't see it being any other rating.

klap4music, well played there hahahaha. as for the album, i'm hoping the rest of the tracks are better than the single cuz it just sounded like alexisonfire without dallas' beautiful voice aka disappointing. hollow crown was good. don't ruin this, architects.

I have no opinion on the band but I do find myself enjoying the album art, probably check the release out just for that alone truth be told.

That's very bold.
Have you not heard any of their CDs? Each is incredibly different, and respectable in their own way. The Downward slope to I guess a Poppier take on music was pretty apparent. But I'm sure it's still going to be a decent release as long as you take the fact out of your head that this is infact Architects doing this.

They all have their respective merrit.
honestly each one brings something new and different to the table.
Ruin was raw as hell, Nightmares was more precise but really technically different, hollow crown was a step down in technicality, but a step up in melody and rhythm, and this new one is probably going to be another step in the pop direction, but who knows they could pull it off well..

Pretty stoked for this considering Hollow Crown was really good imo. One another note the album cover is pretty decent looking too.
