"post-hardcore? ok" Well they're emo which is sort of a sub-genre of post-hardcore but yah the genre doesn't sound right when talking about this album

emo isn't a subgenre of post-hardcore, it's a subgenre of hardcore. nonetheless, I still get annoyed when these guys are called post-hardcore, which has been happening a lot since they did the split with Thursday.

About halfway, and digging this a lot more than I dig Insomniac Doze.

They'll never top Footsteps or Dead Sinking Story i don't think, but Envy is still Envy.

Never listened to either of those albums, I suppose I should then.

I think I did know, but since I never delved into it, the automatic association of the word is when I hear it "oh, that person is bagging on hardcore"

Album is subpar for Envy and doesn't keep me very interested. The post-rock crescendos are not as classy and epic as on releases like A Dead Sinking Story.
