J.T. Earle in Rehab, Cancels Tour 2010-09-24 by Tyler EMERITUS | 6 Comments | Just ten days following the release of Harlem River Blues and a week after spending the night in an Indianapolis jail, folk rocker Justin Townes Earle has announced that he's checked himself into rehab, forcing the temporary-cancellation his remaining tour dates.
The singer, who like his father has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction throughout his life, intends to make up the cancelled tour dates once his rehabilitation is complete.
The decision to enter rehab comes on the heels of the alleged 'trashing' of a Radio Radio club dressing room, an allegation that sent Earle to jail for a night and caused him to miss a radio appearance in Louisville the next day and prompted this response on the singer's Twitter account,
Quote:

Oh and Radio Radio in Indy and all it's staff can kiss my fucking ass!

Though it has not been confirmed, alcohol abuse is believed to be the reason behind Earle's choice to check himself into rehab.

there's a lot to this so it's meaty and has run-on sentences, but it's a pretty bizarre series of events.

model citizen
| | | He was arrested and there were some pretty libellous claims made against him, I'd wait for the full story. I don't think he simply 'trashed' the hotel room.
| | | looks like he really is steve's son after all
| | | Definitely. This isn't his first go around either. It's a shame, there's as much talent as their is tragedy in that family.
| | | new disc was so good. hope he comes my way when he's "clean."
