Yeah, reforming without the two members who made the biggest contributions. Dan and Buddy plus a random backing band would be Psychotic Waltz to me. This...not so much. Still I'm sure this group is capable of making good music.

His vocals sound really good, but I hope the full time vocalist doesn't sound THAT similar to Buddy. Let it be a new band.

I got really excited till I saw there is no Dan Rock and Buddy Lackey in this one...Hope they 'll get on board later, PW was my favorite progressive metal band. If not then let it be a new band indeed

McAlpine, as a guitarist, is as good as Dan, if not better.
Spot-on point of view AsoTamaki and lostforwords, this is a great chance for them to become a whole different band, while of high quality at the same time.

An unfortunate fact is that PW have always been much bigger in Europe than they ever were in their own hometown. I saw the last show they ever put on and it was in a tiny building with a tiny stage. Worse, when the fans showed up the building was locked because it had been shut down a few weeks earlier and no one bothered to tell fans or the band. The band worked to get the building opened for just that night and eventually did get it open and played a late show (they even played a new song that was awesome). Anyway, I say that to answer your question by saying that there isn't any word on the streets of San Diego because they don't play punk or alt. rock.

PW is really one of the most underrated bands ever.I find their prog metal more sincere than Dream Theater's.
Maybe this reunion and a probable album will introduce them to a new audience that will surely shit their pants when hearing what these guys can do

I agree. Their new song (well, it was new back in 2000 or whenever) sounded like "The Politics of Ecstacy" with better songwriting.
I have a picture disc vinyl of "Bleeding" that looks awesome. I used to have 2 copies but one broke.

I don't know if you can. They played it live, and said it was the first time they were playing it (if I remember correctly). I don't know if it ever made it out of that club.
