Butch Walker Talks Up 1969 2006-09-19 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 0 Comments | Butch Walker has expanded upon the few details hitherto known about his "1969" project, a three-piece he's involved in with Michael Chislett and Darren Dodd, guitarist and drummer of his solo band The Let's-Go-Out-Tonites.
Said Butch: "...it’s a band that I’m just playing bass and singing in. The guitar player is Michael Chislett. It’s a three piece and couldn’t be more opposite of the solo record or of my career because I didn’t write the music. It was all written by Michael. So I’m not really steering the ship, I’m just an accessory. It’s really amazing. It’s really fun to be a part of a band again. I think that record is going to come out early next year... Yeah, a completely different record too, an insight into our influences."
So far, just one track has been made available from the project, the early U2/Echo & The Bunnymen rocker 'Wreck Me'
