Damnit, I've already posted three fucking reviews this week... but I really wanted to do this one.
| | | is there a limit to how many reviews staff can post or something?
| | | Ordering!
| | | No, there's no limit but it would suck to bump that many other staff reviews off of the front page. Especially since some staff don't post reviews all that often.
| | | It would be interesting to hear these rereleases, the production was so bad on their stuff that it wasn't even worth listening to. Screams & Whispers was a bit better but some modern production would do wonders for their music.
| | | Well, I bought volume 2 (the re-recording of Reason) and the production is awesome now. It's still kind of raw, but it has totally fixed the muddy sound of the original and is a lot more powerful and clear.
| | | It looks like they also fixed the album artwork, heh.
| | | Yeah, their artwork was always pretty bad until Screams & Whispers. I'm going to end up buying Vol. 1: Suffering Hour this weekend because I know that one could definitely benefit from the re-recording.
If you haven't heard the re-recorded versions, there is a blog on this site with two songs from the original albums and their re-recorded versions so that you can hear the difference:
