New Anaal Nathrakh Released

2006-09-03 by Shadows | 7 Comments
English grinding black metallers Anaal Nathrakh have secured their third album, Eschaton, to be released October 16th via Seasons of Mist.

To provide some insight into the album title:

"The Eschatology (greek, "the ultimate / last / worst things") is the teaching of the "last things" of the individual (individual Eschatology) and the world / universe (universal Eschatology). Especially in the Christian theology it marks a specific imagination of future and past apart from the apocalypse and utopia."

Similarly, one of the album's tracks has been posted on the band's myspace page. The song When the Lion Devours Both Dragon and Child can be heard here:

I've never heard these guys before. What other bands do they sound like?

It's extremely hard to classify these guys. I've honestly never heard anything like them before. They're very raw and incredibly brutal black metal.

Personally I think they are good but not really black metal at all, but it's been awhile since last I listened to them.
