very nice way better than the first one they released, got kind of a ballroom opera feel in it
| |
Closure was awesome. I will listen to this later
| |
Good song
| |
Myspace is being really, really faggoty. Cant play the song.
| |
wut u get for saying that in vain might beat out IK this year
| |
In Vain set the bar pretty high with Mantra. It will be difficult for IK to even equal that. But we'll see. Somebody will youtube this soon enough.
| |
I think they will either end up equal with or better than In Vain's new album.
| |
^I see your "better" and raise a "whole lot better"
| |
Song is aight.
| |
pretty dull
| |
holy shit both songs destroy Closure, can't wait for this now.
| |
Closure raped. Will listen later.
| |
closure was better thus far, songs are good though
| |

| |
Calling Balls gay is like telling a viking he sucks at fighting.
| |
Saying that Ikuinen Kaamos can't live up to In Vain is like put your face inside a microwave while it's on
| |
making hyperbolic claims using similes is like a poor man's metaphor
| |
Ok song, nothing special though. It will be hard to top Closure
| |
The other new IK song I heard wasn't special at all. Mantra on the other hand, especially Captivating Solitude is going to be damn hard to beat. And to consider all the consistent bands in the last two years who've put out underwhelming material, it's a fair statement to make.
| |
Yeah these two songs have been slightly underwhelming compared to what was on Closure. Sounds like a 3-3.5 unfortunately =/
| |
you guys are crazy yo.
| |
Strong song but comparing it to In Vain...hm. IK definitely has more potential, I feel. In Vain had some great songs but as an album, only some songs really stood as 4.0-4.5 quality to me. These definitely aren't IK's strongest songs, but they're definitely a bit more cohesive and together than I feel In Vain was. Everything on the new song is tastefully executed, so I'm hoping for something as great as Closure to come..
| |
All I can say is that I really hope this beats Mantra... because if it does it's gonna be one kickass album. Unfortunately I don't think either of the new songs are as good as Closure... but I didn't love Closure on first listen... or Mantra either for that matter.. so yeah not gonna make any premature conclusions.
| |
Mantra opener is incredible ..and would be very hard to beat ..as mentioned before..but i like this new track
| |
^Agreed. The opener and the closer of Mantra are the two best songs I've heard this year.
| |
Mantra's opener is incredible but i think IK's 2 new songs matches it.
| |
IK's two new songs aren't even up to the level of Closure.
| |
"making hyperbolic claims using similes is like a poor man's metaphor"
aha nice.
Really dig this band, really refreshing in the melodeath genre...tho I can't say In Vain didn't blow me right away too...here's to (hopefully) two ridiculous metal outings
| |
The song dynamics of Mantra are unfuckable, so IK is really going to have to step up and deliver. Both of these songs were kind of bland compared to Closure.
| |
Sup Balls rate Mantra
| |
I prefer anything from The Forlorn over Closure. I feel like the band just got lucky with that release
| |
moonsorrow=greatest finnish band ever.the IK songs are promising.
| |
The highs remind me of a younger Ihsahn.
| |
making hyperbolic claims using similes is like a poor man's metaphor
Oh man, that gave me a hearty chuckle.
Couldn't get enough of Closure. Listening now...
