Rikets Album Details

2010-01-18 by ThePalestMexican | 7 Comments
Industrial nu-metal act Rikets will release American Death Cult in April.

According to their MySpace blog, the group have left DRT Entertainment and signed with Shaun Glass's (ex-SOiL, Dirge Within) Burnhill Records. The record will be distributed by E1 Entertainment (formerly Koch Records) in April. The band completed the album in 2009, but the release was repeatedly delayed by the record company.

The self-released video for 'Sold Me Out' can be seen below via Youtube.

It's about time they released this album!
I personally am pretty stoked.

Just added these guys to the database like a week ago. Rikets + Nonpoint are seemingly the only 2 nu metal bands that could actually produce something good in 2010. And I like that. I'm definitely not as big on nu metal as I used to be, but I still stand by it because the genre ain't a total fuckup like many make it out to be (yes, nu metal has got its pearls too), and it's sad to see it die out completely like this. I'm rather pumped for Rikets' new stuff too

Yeah, a lot of nu-metal bands had talent, just a few bad apples like Primer 55, Limp Bizkit, and Hed PE completely ruined it for everyone else.

And yes, I'm actually going to see Nonpoint in February should be a slaying show.

oh there are/were more than a "few" bad apples ;). Just there is some great stuff inside the genre too.

Also, you have no idea how jealous you just made me with your second comment haha

Yeah dude, if you ever get the chance to see Nonpoint live definitely TAKE IT!
I've seen them twice and both times they were the star of the shows.
Also seen Rikets live multiple times, easily the best live Industrial band I've seen.

I'd only have a chance to see Nonpoint if they'd make a northern europe tour haha

Yeah, this is the only time I've ever seen Nonpoint in my town, I even sat through a Mudvayne concert (after they released The New Game) to see them.
