The Amenta Begin New Album

2010-01-15 by gutturalmaster | 2 Comments
On January 14th, 2010 Australian death/extreme metal band, The Amenta, announced that it will begin working on new material this year. They have already started to put some pieces together; when asked about the progress of the new album, a band member said "early sounds have indicated a return to aggressive guitar coupled with even more aggressive electronics".

The band had planned to begin writing new material in the later part of 2009, but were offered a place on the Monsters Of Death tour with fellow band Vader; an offer they couldn't refuse. They also saw a change in lineup that year on vocals and bass, with Cain Cressall and Dan Quinlan.

Now with the tour out of the way and the lineup in place, The Amenta is set to write a followup to 2008's 'nOn' album.

I've seen these guys play before. They're alright I guess...nOn was pretty average though
