It is interesting to note that Opeth, friends and partners-in-crime of PT, also signed to Roadrunner before releasing their latest, Ghost Reveries, and they have since remained with apparently complete creative control over their music.

Let's hope Porcupine Tree isn't tainted by Roadrunner.

The last thing we need is to hear PT on the radio nonstop:

"We've got a new band here, coming in from Great Britain! This is their single off of their first album!"

Keep in mind though that sign signing just seems to be more for distribution purposes. They're still on Atlantic for North America (and Japan) and I think it's just that Roadrunner is helping them get more releases in other countries. Who knows, though.

Nobody is going to play Porcupine Tree on the radio. Who would want to punish the general population like that?

Roadrunner always takes artists as soon as they get bigger, so this isn't a surprise.

It doesn't matter if PT go to Victory, nothing will stop Steve Willson's awsome-ness. I'm still sore that Maiden and PT will be in town the same day, so I had to choose between them.
