its better than i thought it would be
|
| |
I liked it
|
| |
Album rules
|
| |
does it really, Demon? because the band hasn't been so hot recently. i'll prolly check out.
|
| |
It is alot better than their last 3 imo
|
| |
Its a hell of a lot better then anything they've released since 2002, thats for sure. Check it out bloc, its not bad considering The New Game was horrid.
|
| |
will do, guys
|
| |
actually pretty good
|
| |
wtf i think ALL of you are trollin
|
| |
Oh man I gotta hear this, L.D. 50 is one of my all time favorites, I had begun to lose hope in Mudvayne. Let's hope you are right.
|
| |
playing it now...
... it reminds me of their second album.
|
| |
It reminded me a lot of their older work too, which is not a bad thing by any means.
|
| |
i thoroughly enjoy this album, no lie. definitely their best since The end of all things to come.
|
| |
Is this album really, actually good? Or is it like, "this album is good based on how horrible their last three albums were"?
|
| |
just listen to it phaggot.
but srsly it's actually good.
|
| |
It surprised me, I crapped a little when I heard it all
|
| |
Awesome, released on my birthday. And it's pretty darn good
|
| |
It reminds me of...oh wait I never even listened to this band back when I actually liked radio metalshit.
|
| |
rly? cool, may check it out.
|
| |
This stream is kinda interesting. Looks like a nervous band desperate for good press again. Album's good but it's starting to wear off a tad now
|
| |
where the fuck do you derive that from? it's just a stream...there's like no other info on the page other than the release date of the album.
|
| |
What? I'm just saying I think it's funny the whole album is up almost 10 days before
|
| |
most bands put up a stream once it has been leaked tho. idk, wouldn't call this a desperate attempt to get attention considering they aren't even planning a tour for it.
|
| |
I would be, after The New Game anyway.
|
| |
really psyched
|
| |
So, bands streaming their albums 10 days before the release date are "seeking attention" huh ?
|
| |
Well yeah, they are hoping to boost pre-order sales and maybe they hope to save a slot for themselves on the billboard.
|
| |
this one's gonna be god i believe
|
| |
God? Not that good.
|
| |
have it already thanks to deviant
|
| |
Did you even read the comments Josh? They're all praising the album, this should make one optimistic.
|
| |
never heard anything from this band, may check it out.
|
| |
Good.
|
| |
If you havent heard anything by them, you should seriously check out L.D. 50, its one of the greatest nu-metal albums in existence. Then check this out.
|
| |
L.D 50 made me cream my pants back in the day
|
| |
playing it now...
... it reminds me of their second album.
I'm going to love this then.
|
| |
yes you will Wiz, yes yo will, because this is nu metal at its prime. It's not better than L.D. 50 of course, but it's still damn good
|
| |
This is pretty bad so far dude. I'll admit, some good stuff here and there and then they bring in some horrible choruses. Bass work is back which I like.
|
| |
Wiz, I'm worried about you. It's like you're distancing yourself from nu metal, don't leave me all alone bro!
|
| |
If Nothingface hadn't broken up, I would be all over their new album they were working on. Nu-metal is truly dead.
|
| |
naah man, Spineshank, Nonpoint, Disturbed, Korn (who knows, maybe it will be good haha), the other members of Nothingface and I've even heard Snot are all working on new albums. I'll at least review the new Nonpoint and Spineshank when they'll be out and they're gonna slay and I'm getting you to check em out and the you'll love em and then you'll fucking thank me!
Whew, ok, got a bit overexcited there. The baseline then being: you need to find your way back to liking nu metal. And i'm making sure you'll succeed ;)
|
| |
Besides Spineshank, all of those bands suck so hard (especially Korn, ewwww you still like them? hahahaha) I will still listen to every album from each of those bands but I have low hopes of them producing anything exciting. In terms of finding my way back to nu-metal, I think I will just pull out my old collection for some good old memories.
Oh, concerning Snot making a new album: No Lynn Strait = gonna suck balls!
|
| |
Besides Spineshank, all of those bands suck so hard sad face ewwww you still like them? hahahaha lulz I will still listen to every album from each of those bands but I have low hopes of them producing anything exciting. probably wrong hahaIn terms of finding my way back to nu-metal, I think I will just pull out my old collection for some good old memories. not a bad idea at all.
Still, there will be some nice nu metal tunes next year, mark my words. Fuck, I'll reform a nu metal band myself, like 10 years too late, if I really have to in order to prove you wrong and bring you to like modern nu metal.
|
| |
Actually Snot is no longer, they are now Tons, clever. Sonny Mayo left and then they kicked Tommy Vext, from the first album of Dino's band, who was going to take over on vocals. But during the making of the album, these guys were gone. But the rest of the guys are still playing together. Disturbed, ew. I dug the first Spineshank album. Yeah, I was excited for Nothingface, but you know, I don't think they could top Violence anyways. Maybe I will listen to this album.
|
| |
Prove me wrong Magnus, I really hope you do because nu-metal needs a good shot in the arm.
I don't think they could top Violence anyways.
You are so right about this.
|
| |
If you havent heard anything by them, you should seriously check out L.D. 50, its one of the greatest nu-metal albums in existence. Then check this out.
check out L.D. 50, its one of the greatest nu-metal albums in existence
one of the greatest nu-metal albums
nu-metal
|
| |
Nothingface may be the best and most underrated Nu Metal album of all-time. If this album has a lot of the singing choruses, I am not going to like this. There is something about Chad Grey's vocals when he sings, I just can't stand. I mean, I enjoyed L.D. 50 and The End of All Things to Come, but after that....I didn't want to hear his whiny voice anymore.
|
| |
Nothingface - Voilence, that is.
|
| |
JoshIsNumber3 is a troll I enjoy hahahaha.
SteelErected, If you like Nothingface that much, this list should make you happy:

|
| |
hahahaha, WIzard. That list brings me back to 1998. A lot of those albums I would agree with. I can't believe you have The Deadlights on there! Those guys were actually pretty good. A nu-metal Smashing Pumpkins.
|
| |
Prove me wrong Magnus, I really hope you do because nu-metal needs a good shot in the arm. aww man, the only thing i could do is drum or sing angstily hahahahaha. So it's going to be a challenge. Now, to go and find a band who want's to play nu metal ten years after its prime!
|
| |
You should move to Kalamazoo, MI. You will find dudes in their 40s still trying to play nu metal. it is kind of sad actually.
|
| |
I'm in Estonia...., it's gonna get tough hahahaha
|
| |
I almost forgot, I'm enjoying the new Crossbreed (need to give it a few more listens), which I would consider nu-metal. Maybe it's not as dead as I had thought.
|
| |
yeah but the new Crossbreed album is industrial metal. The band just has a nu metal background and will always have some influences, but they are rather unhearable on KE 101 tbh.
Also, Wiz, check out Dope's 2009 effort No Regrets. I remember you liked their debut and No Regrets is possibly the best nu metal album to come out this year.
|
| |
Fair enough about Crossbreed, I kind of think they stepped up their game with their latest album.
And concerning Dope, if their album cover wasn't so gay, I might have listened to it sooner. Does it sound anything like Felons And Revolutionaries?
|
| |
I agree with you on Crossbreed, KE 101 is excellent. By far the band's best.
As for Dope, the electronics have REALLY gone down. Almost non-existent. But the guitarwork is unexpectedly varied. I even labeled it as Alt.metal in my review because it seemed too complex to call it nu metal lol. Vocalist Edsel has improved although his still does his nasally yell. Drums are pretty cool and solos are pretty ripping although a bit too upbeat imo. Still a great album.
|
| |
But Disturbed is ftw!1 10K Fists was pretty sweet.
|
| |
"have it already thanks to deviant "
Damn straight!
Album's not that flash guys, sorry to break the bad news. But it trumps The New Game, but that wasn't hard now was it?
|
| |
Damn straight!
Album's not that flash guys, sorry to break the bad news. But it trumps The New Game, but that wasn't hard now was it?
point is, it's good. Doesn't matter really how good it is as long as we know that they are back in form.
|
| |
But they're not though
|
| |
why what do you mean?
|
| |
They're not back on form, they're slowly making their way back up from the bottom of the pit.
Form would be L.D 50 and TEOATTC, there's too much by the numbers streamlined metal going on here, ain't the Mudvayne I got into way back in '01
|
| |
they're back in from alright, they're just older now. It's like any good famous sports start. He maybe not as fresh and amazing as he was in his youth, but even at the age of 35, he's still a master of his craft.
Man that was deep right there
|
| |
Lol styles, this band needs love from David Botrill
|
| |
why so? the production was top notch, dunno watcha talkin' about :-)
|
| |
Read my review that should be up in a day or 2 styles lol
|
| |
I will! If it will complain about production I'll tear that paragraph apart hahahaha
|
| |
I'll drive a mack truck through your rebuttal
|
| |
I'll be blasting "Hive" by Nonpoint and its angst-ridden, powerful sound waves will obliterate your truck before it reaches me. Suck on it!
|
| |
Don't mess with me Styles, i'm all jacked up on Mountain Dew!
|
| |

| |
Bussa bus?
|
| |
the what?
|
| |
Busta Rhymes son
|
| |
that has no connection with Busta, son. That is grade A nu metal homage to hip hop hahaha
|
| |
greatly enjoy the bussa bus and mudvayne's return to form....this is pretty legit...seriously
|
| |
Guitar tone is lame, as is the bass drum sound.
But it's definitely better than their most recent stuff.
|
| |
Doesn't matter really how good it is as long as we know that they are back in form.
You couldn't be so far from the truth.
Nice homage to nu-metal there Styles.
|
| |
homage from nu metal to hip hop*
and yeah, you know I try Karl, you know I try ;)
|
| |
its out??? i might just look into this..
|
| |
^Obvious troll not acting so obvious
|
| |
lolmudvayne
only nu-metal i don't hate is deftones tbh and i'm pretty sure they can barely even be considered nu-metal anymore
|
| |
